Kelly VanderBeek & Norbert Meier interview before public council hearing about 2026 Games

Rocky Mountain FM – October 30, 2018 – Rob Murray – Ahead of the public hearing tonight, Tuesday, October 30 at 5 PM at the Canmore Civic Centre regarding the potential 2026 Winter Olympic bid, I spoke with Norbert Meier and Kelly VanderBeek from Yes 2026 Canmore about why they’re supporting this initiative and what they hope to see at the hearing tonight.

The topic of the hearing is, “Is it prudent for the Town of Canmore to participate in the City of Calgary’s bid to co-host the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games?”

This hearing is open to the public. If you can’t attend in person, but wish to view the proceedings, you can view a live-stream of the meeting at http://www.canmore.ca/town-hall/town-council/council-webcast
You can also submit your feedback via email to chyde@canmore.ca by 5 PM on the 30th  if you are not able to attend in person to voice your opinion. Equal weight is given to the written submissions as to the verbal presentations.
